A STYLIZED RESISTANCE, is a community salon series that will invite thought leaders, creative activists and community voices to reflect and reimagine a more equitable future. Through the power of design, dialogue and dinner together we will explore style and aesthetics as a practice of community expression, resistance and liberation.
Inspired by the history of the Greenbook and Chitlin Circuit, and an homage to the Black American traditions of the community salon, from the Abolitionist Movement to the Harlem Renaissance, these community salon dinners will center and nourish often silenced and siloed voices to unapologetically imagine a more liberated future.
This community-based participatory dinner series will take place in 9 cities across the U.S., each stop centering local voices and conversations of resistance. Click here or the slides above to find a salon near you, and join us in exploring how OUR RESISTANCE WILL INDEED BE STYLIZED.
